As a sculptor I am interested in the ontological study of the familiar object as signifier, notions of truth and nostalgia and how the interpretation of an object can be changed when it is moved from a point of origin to a new location (centre to periphery). How people interact with and build relationships through nostalgia for material objects, and how this can change what we perceive to be real or a “truth”.
